In our completeness, we are political, familial, spiritual beings. My creative work reflects these different facets of my artistic journey. My bits and pieces start with nature, sewing at my grandmother’s knee and Sunday family outings to museums and places of interest around Los Angeles as a child. The Watts towers’ mosaics captivated me from a young age. Mosaics, bits and pieces remain a central part of my work today. My body of work over the past 20 years include these methods as well as more traditional canvas work and mixed media.
